Belong Germany is a personal tracker. It helps you see your own distance to German citizenship by organising the information you enter against published rules, and it splits that distance into the part you control and the part you do not.
This is the most important term. Belong Germany is an information tool, not a lawyer and not an authority. The estimates, dates and statuses it shows are based on published rules as of a stated date. Those rules change, sometimes with little notice and sometimes in ways that affect applications already in progress. Belong Germany can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Nothing in the app is legal advice and nothing in it is a promise about whether or when you will qualify for citizenship or residence. Before you make any decision, verify your situation with the responsible authority. In Germany that is your local naturalisation office, the Einbürgerungsbehörde, which decides citizenship applications, your local immigration office, the Ausländerbehörde, for residence matters, and the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, the BAMF, for national guidance and the naturalisation test. You can also speak with a qualified adviser or an immigration lawyer. You use Belong Germany at your own risk and you are responsible for any decision you make.
Belong Germany is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, current or free of errors, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted. The rules it reflects are summaries of complex law and they are not a substitute for the official sources. The practice questions in the Practice tab are training material, not official exam content: they can contain mistakes, and a practice result is no prediction of your result in the real Einbürgerungstest.
To the extent the law allows, Belong Europe ApS is not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of Belong Germany or from any reliance on the information it shows, including any decision about residence, citizenship, travel, work or money. Your sole remedy if you are unhappy with the app is to stop using it and cancel any subscription.
Use Belong Germany for your own personal, lawful purposes. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or its content.
Belong Germany, its name, design and content are owned by Belong Europe ApS. These terms do not give you any ownership of the app. The practice questions in the Practice tab are written by Belong Europe from the official test's public subject areas; they are our content, not that of the BAMF, whose own questions and materials remain its own.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of Denmark. If you use Belong Germany as a consumer, this does not remove the protection of any mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
